Oh yes! I had a Brother machine...the first one I bought for myself
to start out. I used mine mainly for straight stitch too. Then when
I ventured into stretch-knit sewing I bought the Colanda machine which
has the various zig-zag stretch stitches, auto buttonhole, embroidery
stitching and some other gizmos. I can't get the hang of the
embroidery though because you have to steer the stitching over the
picture area and I just can't get it right. I'd love one of those new
machines that automatically does it at the touch of a couple of
buttons. One of my brothers has taken my Brother machine and uses it
for mending and hemming only.

CS>>Embroidery stuff. Nothing fancy but I'd like some pillow cases and

It's good to find something portable enough to take with you. My
craft pal asked me to bring my table cloth over to work on but it is
too big and I need my table or sofa space to spread it out and work
on. I have ordered the big hoop and stand to make the job a little
easier. This is a christmas table cloth and since I do plan on making
a second cloth someday for everyday use the stand will be put to good
use. When I visit my pal I take smaller projects to work on.
CS>>RC> owners gave free lessons with it. I bought it for the purpose of

Sure, check it out. The classes are pretty good and a lot of fun too.
All the stores that offer classes now are too far away from me. I'd
love to take the classes offered on sewing winter coats and outerwear.
The Needlework Festival is coming up in April so I am checking on some
of the classes offered at that time.

I prefer doing elastic waists in Steven's pants too since he is still
continually growing. He loves the sweat pants better than jeans too
because they are more flexible and keep his legs warmer in winter.
Easy to get on. He always complains about the waistband on jeans.
Only problem is he is really hard on the knees so I am always putting
patches on them. He thinks that is really cool though. ;)
