Bob, at 09:17 on Sun, Sep 25 1994, you wrote to Bill Grimsley ... BL> Yes, Bill. What the fuck's happening to Rod? BG> You should have read my message to Brenton by now, so you'll BG> know what's going on, but to clarify Trev's involvement, I BG> reproduce his message in its entirety below... BL> Thanks for that. I did see the other post, but our mail crossed. Yeah, I figured you might have. As an aside, I don't know about you, but even after three years or more of email, I still derive some voyeuristic form of pleasure form reading mail addressed to other people. Maybe I should get a job in the local post office. ;-) BL> What a farce! Rod was probably the most helpful of the lot of BL> them in the Tech echo, and they're worried about saving BL> bandwidth. What a crock of shit. It was nothing more than a smokescreen over the real issue, which was Rod putting Laurie Batt and Gabriel Lagos in their respective argumentative places after they attacked him for what they perceived to be off-topic messages regarding Win v OS/2. My guess is that they slunk off with their tails between their legs, and privately netmailed Trev in order to stir the pot. Some people react badly to public humiliation, it would seem. TR> So, it's in your hands. Yes, I'm doing a Caeser BL> And Trev is an ignorant hoon, to boot. Not only can't he spell BL> Caesar, but he meant Pontius Pilate anyway. ROFL! You're right (I think), if Trev really wanted to do a Caesar, he should have the decency to allow himself to be stabbed to death (purely in the interests of accuracy, of course). I doubt there'd be any shortage of applicants for Brutus' job. Anyway, I'd have done a Solomon myself, and had Rod cut in half. That way, everybody wins! ;-) Regards, Bill --- Msgedsq/2 2.3á* Origin: Don't ask me, I'm lost too. (3:711/934.18) SEEN-BY: 640/305 711/934 @PATH: 711/934 |
