According to my son, about 400 W for a typical Windows gaming box. Many
(most?) of the mobo/cpu combos he used won't even boot reliably with less than
350 W.
However he now runs an Athlon 64 (3000XP or something like that -- can't get
too much precise info during a game "run") in a very small case with only a
250 W p/s that's faster, quieter, and cooler. (I suspect it's what's been
called a BTX here, but wouldn't know one if I saw it.)
