From: Phil Payne > | I wonder if he fed it to his children? > Do you seriously think that anyone in America should stop eating beef? Beef in lumps, no. Even at the height of the (often irrational) UK scare, no one seriously advocated avoiding steaks, roasts, etc. I didn't. A lot of my personal cookery is based on mince (ground beef) and I used a trusted butcher. Most of the supermarkets made it clear that their mince was made from whole flesh. Beef in a rendered "product" - be it hamburgers, stock cubes, ready made lasagne, etc., perhaps. A lot was "recovered meat" - blasted off the carcass with high-pressure water jets. Long since banned for human consumption over here. -- Phil Payne http://www.isham-research.com +44 7785 302 803 +49 173 6242039 --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
