_First Cases_ and _First Cases 2_ are anthologies.  The 'theme' is 
that the stories feature the first appearances of the detectives in question. 
 I haven't had the time to read them yet, so I don't know if this is "first" 
in the sense of "first publication" or "first" as in series story chronology.
