subject: Lurking

Trying out the online editor... ;)

EM> I am behind the DOS usage re-learning curve for a variety of reasons.
EM> I am thus reduced to lurking.

Lurking's not the worst thing to do... as long as one keeps reading
messages... :)

EM> In 1988, wondering about the value of having a machine that was both
EM> typewriter and filing cabinet, I developed some small skill using DOS
EM> on the computer I had at the time. However, the neural pathways I
EM> developed as a result are currently quite overgrown and blocked.
EM> It'll be a while before I can stop cutting mental brush and start
EM> trotting back and forth with ease.

And in the meantime, we'll see if we can augment the clearing with
some tutorial reminders or new learnings... ;)

EM> This just before taking a jaunt to do a couple
EM> of days of cabin camping at Ontario State Park (absolutely gorgeous
EM> treasure park). Everything got sorted out, and I got some great walks
EM> among tall, waving trees . . . and a great filet mignon at a place
EM> called Cheap Charlie's in Bloomfield.

Hmmm.... maybe we should have tried them out for a picnic eating
out... but I had no knowledge of how they'd be... Maybe another
time.... :)
