BG> Oh, I'm sorry, I though engineers drove trains. ;-)
KR> are you a bloody yank or something? (-8
BG> Que? I thought that engineer was an English term for a train-driver, not

iie, the pomms call them train drivers, or engine driver

(1) i dont know
(2) what they do is immaterial, i do (i've been taking lessons from you
know who) (-8
BG> BTW, I've heard no howls of protest to date, so can I safely assume that

yes, i must apologise for not thanking you. it has performed perfectly
except for one tape (u2 zoo tv) which plays without any problem at the
local video shop, but the akai looses lock every 30 secs or so, just as
if it is loosing tracking then it comes back in. 'spose it could be one
of the copy protection schemes screwing it up. plays everything else ok
though. i've been copying some of the hi-8 stuff onto it, god it looks
rough compared to the original, i'm glad i didn't buy a vhs-c.
