I'm not familiar with the G series; the T series are the ones that are still officially supported for OS2 (at least last I looked) and while the infernal modem is a bummer, you will probably have better luck with the ethernet and the sound. May I suggest the nb2discuss list at yahoogroups - someone there may have some knowledge of the G machines. There's also a general thinkpad list - info at http://stderr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/thinkpad there are a couple of people there who have good reputations for selling stuff including older machines still with some warranty.
