  While reacquainting myself with all the ways "Gnostic"
  is used, I serendipitously ran across some tangents on
  fractals ....and then a PBS program on them. At times, one
  can get the feeling destiny is shoving bits around. A
  comment on decompressing fractals into an original formula
  was presented as (aside from image data compression) a method
  of knowing an outcome both from point of origin AND point of
  finish, expressed in recursion formulae. Though no math whiz,
  I've started looking into fractals and their generation (been
  ten years since I programed bit images on CPU monitors).
  Though many programs are available to do it (I have "FRACTINT"),
  I find that doing something yourself is the better teacher.
  (I'm using GWBASIC). To make a long story short, several
  ideas were touched upon that I thought of some interest to you.
 
  1. The concept that a creator/scientist could know a derived future
     via fractal-ish structures (that more complex knowledge of fractal
     relationships are moving beyond novel imagery, mostly at
     unpublished university AND GOVERNMENT contractor levels).
 
  2. Both the military and NASA have been aware and using image
     reverse fractal data compression for several years where only
     the formulae have to be transmitted.
 
  3. That even star clusters and atomic structures might be digitally
     analyzed and decomposed back into original formulae or extended
     beyond present levels of exploration (*If* I got it right it could
     be a big time breakthrough)....!
 
     NOTE: Though there seems much material on the fractal generation
     side, I have not yet found much on the "reverse fractal to formula"
     process.
 
    One very interesting observation: Looking at many samples
    generated by the "Fractint" program package, imagery completely
    devoid of recognizable symbols, has incredible qualities of
    emotional stimulation generating "FEELINGS" from very evil,
    across an incredible range to a spiritual (feel good) place of
    mind. I hadn't realized that mandalas fit fractals so snugly.
    Some images were even scary and also noted in the material as
    "take care!". I believe some could be used in trance induction,
    especially those endowed with high speed dynamic manipulation.  .
 
    I've only scratched the surface but it seems an interesting
    "look-see"! As mentioned several times before,  I know most of
    those on this echo are very up on the "latest"; and my new
    enthusiasms a bit old hat.

     As in my own mind, I've accepted genetics and evolution and
     Fibonacci sets as dialects of an objective creation language,
     Fractal geometry may well be another addition ......of perhaps
     several or many more still unknown...
