My 2 newest NICs came built into my motherboards. Both are Realtek. The
older 10/100 uses the RTSND.OS2 driver, while the newer 10/100/1000 uses
RTGNDA.OS2. Anything old using a Realtek 8139 chip should be OK, and
they're dirt cheap. I also use Intel Pro 10/100, but they're anything
but new, and not particularly inexpensive unless you find them on eBay.
