Frank Vlamings asked:
FV> How can I convert the color settings from my present v2.50E
FV> to what I had in my v2.50A? I still have all the files of my
FV> older v2.50A in another partition, but would like to have the
FV> color scheme and other settings of v2.50A to work in my new
FV> v2.50E. I have tried it manually and save that, but for some
FV> reason, it just is not quite the same setting, I have in my
FV> v2.50A.
When you burn in settings to e.exe, you normally use two files,
C:\TSE\UI\TSE.UI and C:\TSE\UI\TSE.CFG. The latter file contains
the color settings. You can burn them in separately, or put a
#Include statement in TSE.UI.
Go to your old version (2.50A) and use the Menu:
Options/Full Configuration/Write Setting to an ASCII file.
This will write a new TSE.CFG, or to a filename of your choice.
This TSE.CFG will contain your personalized color settings.
Then put that TSE.CFG (or whatever filename you chose) into
C:\TSE(250E)\UI\TSE.CFG of your new copy. Then:
SC -b \UI\TSE.CFG (or whatever filename used)
If you have already customized the new version differently from
the old version, it should work if you delete everything but the
lines that set colors from the TSE.CFG (or whatever filename).
But I've never actually tried it.
Hope this helps.
