OK, here's complete details about how to connect to EMuck for the
FANtasEARS chat sessions held 7 nights a week starting at 11 pm Eastern /
10 pm Central / 9 pm Mountain / 8 pm Pacific time.  Come chat with the
FANtasEARS in Mickey's Cyber Diner on EntertainMuck, which anyone can go
to for free via Telnet.  Chat sessions on EntertainMuck (or EMuck, for
short) are more fun than on IRC -- drop in and see why!
EMuck offers free guest access -- and free permanent player access as
well.  Anyone can log on as a guest and there are no delays and no guest
registration forms to fill out.
HOW TO CONNECT TO EMUCK
Connect to EMuck via Telnet to...
          alia.ce.umn.edu 6903
...(the IP address is 134.84.148.81).  The URL for telnet access is...

You'll see EMuck's login screen, which starts off like this...

Welcome to EMuck!  To connect to the game server, type the following at the
EntertainMuck (alia) login prompt:
connect           (for regular characters)
connect guest guest                                (for guest access)

  ...and ends with this line:

That last line (EntertainMuck (alia) login:) is your cue to connect
to the game server by typing...
connect guest guest
...to connect as one of EMuck's guest characters.
There is a Guest Tutorial in the Welcome Center Lounge (the first
place you will be in as a guest) which gives a step-by-step outline of
basic commands that will help you chat and explore on EMuck.  It's also
found on EMuck's web page at http://alia.ce.umn.edu/emuck.html -- just
follow the Documentation link.  You can also type...

...then you have NOT reached the game port, but are connecting
instead to the normal telnet port, which leads to alia's user
accounts, and you will not be able to connect to EMuck.  Be sure
that you are Telneting to port 6903.
Please join the CalWeb FANtasEARS for Disney-style chats every night on
EMuck!
