PE> Yeah, sorry about the delay in getting back to you about the
PE> need to go to PQWK215 to get rid of SOT/EOT your end.
I got sick of waiting and did it anyway.
PE> What crappy red numbers?
{at}MSGID: ..... {at}PATH: ..... and that. They're all gone now, just like
a proper QWK packet. I just get the message.
PE> It should do it for all netmail. It should have been like that
PE> when you were QWKing off me originally, no???
No. I used to get: "From: 1:123/346.4" if it came from a BBS in the
USA. Then I knew who to reply to.
PE> To get the zone number (3) appearing you need to add a
PE> "-A3:711/934.whatever" on pkt2qwk. I don't think I mentioned
PE> that,
*Now*, you tell me! But what's the point of putting that in, when
I won't know where the Netmail is coming from? Is magic involved?
If I get Netmail from Elmer Zxwctz in the USA, how will I know that
his BBS number is 1:123/456.7 in advance?
PE> so how did you know to do that? If you leave out the "-A"
PE> parameter it just makes it zone 0 instead.
I erred. . What I actually got was:
"From: 0:711/934.0".
PE> Also, I checked, and you haven't received any netmail recently,
PE> so how come you were seeing it at all?
I save my uploaded 000000000.PKT packet and add in in with the
downloaded packets. I sent netmail yesterday and got it back with
From: 0:711/934.0 added on. In todays packet I got one with the right
point number added on, but still with 0:711/934.n
This is pretty useless if I get Netmail from another board. Will it
still put 0:711/934.n?
PE> Also, there is noone on 3:711/934 that is capable of sending
PE> you netmail anyway, since no user-users have access to netmail
PE> from the board "proper".
I was worried about what would happen if I used PQWK on another
board.
PE> So what's going on Bob? BFN. Paul.
Us pensioners get upset about unexplained changes. If I get
Netmail, how will I know the address for the reply. QWK puts the
sender's address on top. When I had the red numbers, there was the
PATH at the bottom and a pt123 on top that let me reply to
1:234/564.123 at the last address. How do I do it now - if everything
is 0:711/934.n?
Regards,
Bob
