OO> Hi again. is the sturney Archer bike is the type of bike with curved
OO> tubes? It is quite fun looking bike. As I know there are mtb companies
OO> which build high-end mtbs with the s. Archer shape. I wish here in
OO> Turkey we may have a similar rail system which is able to take us and
OO> our bikes to distances. I was on a bike trip today. I've ridden to and
OO> back from a forest area near istanbul . I rode 115 kilometers.I'm
OO> quite tired now.But happy. I also have a mtb with generator, head and
OO> tail lights. It is going to be winter soon. And I will return home
OO> mostly at dark. It will be necessary.

Hi again, my friend. No the Sturmey Archer designation is the type of
Hub on the rear wheel. The Gears were internal and there was only
one rear Sprocket and one front Sprocket. There was a 4 position
trigger on the right handle bar and 2 brake levers with Cantilever
Brakes. It was a full, all weather Bike. It had Fenders to keep
you from getting wet fron the water flying up off of the wheels.
It had a rear luggage rack, Generator Headlight and Taillight,
A Bell (Which was required, or a horn, your choice). In those days
there were no Mountain Bikes. There were a few Derailiuer (Spelling)
bikes around. I think they were 10 speeds. I never rode one of
those.
