I've also found that the 'microfiber' cloths sold for use in cleaning audio
CDs work very well,
can be washed when they get dirty, and are quite durable. They're about
(from memory) 4" x 6",
and often sold in packs of three. FWIW
As for paper towels, etc... the usual advice I see is never touch paint or
plastic with anything
that used to be a tree!
