Ah well I'll make do with 96 Meg.
Upgrading the thing appears to have very few options so money
thrown at this machine would be better saved and spent on a generic
system bought bare bones.

Got a cerified Microsoft guy lived next door said forget
XP anything short of a 1.5 GHz machine and at that he
said it'd be just adaquate! Landlady just plunked down
big bucks on a new proprietary box for several times
the cost of one that can be had that can be substantially upgraded.
Yup MickeySoft is sure making things cheap for those that
are willing to take the time to optimize software.
Seems in the long run at 200 bucks Windows 2K Pro is cheaper than
XP at 1/4 the cost due to the latter using so much in the
way of system resources.
