I have just begun reading Stephanie Barron's _Jane and the Unpleasantness
at Scargrave Manor_. As Jane Austen is one of my favorite authors, I
thought this might be something interesting--or a complete disaster as some
other attempts at this sort of writing have turned out to be.
I've just begun and so far it looks to be enjoyable. Of course, as a fan of
JA, I was prepared to be pleased by it.
I have also encountered at least one "borrowing" from one of Austen's
novels, and one other sentence also seemed familiar. I suspect part of the
fun here might be identifying the sources of various "borrowings" from
Austen.
The title of course echoes a 20th century mystery by....?
