Under eCS 1.24, it and the eCenter definitely do not get along -- screwed up
my desktop so badly I had to restore the latest archived one (fortunately,
made just before installing WPS-Wiz!)

Actually, ACD 0.56 installs and functions quite nicely *without* WPS-Wiz: it
just complains that you won't have "full functionality." But that
turns out to
be false, since the eCS extras actually seem to incllude most of what ACD 0.56
*thinks* it needs, and all of what *I* think it needs.

IOW, just install ACD and ignore the "warnings" about WPS-Wiz
missing and all
is hunky-dory.

Or get a back-level version and install that: it won't complain at all, and
will do everything except some DVD stuff.
