Exactly.  I do get it.  Being a gay person, or having a gay orientation, is
not the same as engaging in any specific sexual activity, any more than
being a straight person IS engaging in sex.  That is why the term is a
bigoted one.

Bigots see gay people only in terms of what they do sexually, but that is
only a part of being gay.  It's as if we claimed that when you aren't
having intercourse with your wife, you have no relationship with her, or
when you read or write literature about love relationships, it has no
meaning for you unless you are having sex.

But you have too limited a definition of marriage.
