There _used to be_ a "simpler time"...when parents cared about what
their kids were up to, and when things did go awry, actually _did_
something about the problem ! And...when kids _listened_ to Mom and Pop
rather than some hard-nosed flatfoot (with what we call today, "an
attitude") or suffer a visit to the Courts !
You have my sympathies...and congratulations, both at the same time !
I've been haunting Cyberspace now for over a decade, and I'm still
"sent" whenever I come across an idiot that believes they can get away
with "whatever".
Now, this is all off-topic relative the conference's theme, but I just
HAD to write something to you. Just one more thing: don't punish ALL the
Users on your system over one lousy kid's (and his/her parents') lack of
responsibility. Though I'm certain the majority accept your action, how
can you hold them ALL responsible for the actions of _one_ louse ? Nobody
ever promised a SysOp (or Moderator, for that matter) "a rose garden,
complete with sunshine all the time"... Then again, perhaps this is an
example of "the" very reason that I have kept a very small, very exclusive
and never desired a more publicly-accessible BBS here over the years...
