I think HW has the best QC and product consistency around. Having said
that I do believe the TX to be a better gun straight from the box
because it is more refined. The trigger is better. Barely tho. The
barrel is Lothar/Walther although that doesn't mean a lot when you look
at HW barrel quality which is great. But the performance of these guns
is so close especially when properly tuned that the difference between
them would not even count for 1/2 point in a 100 shot match. You still
have to do your part. You will never outgrow the accuracy of either gun
and if someone didn't tell you there was a difference you'de never know.
Rest assured no matter wheather you splurge and buy the TX or snag one
of those HW77/Marksman 61's while they are still around you can't screw
up cause they are both great guns. You will be the weak link and that is
nice to know.
Does it matter to someone who is not competing? Do you have any info

You don't have to compete to appreciate comp equipment. The TX200 SR
seems to be inconsistent and problematic. I'd avoid it entirely. If you
want recoiless get a precharge.

There are match sidelevers and there are hunting sidelevers but there is
no real high quality springer sidelever that is used often in FT. I
suppose a detuned 52/54 Diana could work OK but I think the guns you are
looking at are the ones that should fill your needs. When someone wants
accurate field target springers these are the best going.

I don't do those BSA's. I prefer to pass on that ? Beeman is an
importer. The catalog and a few accesories are their products. The HW
(Weihrauch) company makes the HW77 and HW97 and Marksman 60/61 and all
the R series guns from Beeman. The majority of the high end guns are
german and HW is the premeir german maker. The Air Arms stuff is simply
a knock-off with revisions that make it quite good as well. The Guns of
Air Arms have a stricking resemblance to the Venomac Mach 1 and Mach 2.
It seems they at least know who to follow/flatter.

You're welcome. I always like to deal with enthusiasts.
