subject: more massive problems

PE>> it doesn't affect you one iota, since you're all points. BFN.

 DM> That's really good news, I guess.

It's really mad actually, I was running the HPFS386 beta, and I and my
system did work for about 2 hours, e.g. I deleted all the files in a
directory, extracted PQWK, updated the code and recompiled it, updated all
the doco, and then the system hung. And it seems that there must have been
a problem with lazy write, because that last 2 hours work was totally gone.
The stuff that I deleted originally from that directory was all there
again!!! All my work had been lost. The mailprocessor had tossed messages
into my messagebase, all new additions were gone. Something was screwed in
the messagebase though, and I needed to run SQFIXP on a lot of areas. And
SQFIXP decided to screw up a lot of old messages in the process. :-(

DM> Is there any way of retrieving personal mail, not private mail,
DM> that has been already sent to me ? I had a problem with TPOINT,
DM> and lost a mail packet from around 18th July.

Well if you tell me the last message you received in AUST_AVTECH, and the
first one you received, I can put the ones in between into a text file. So
can anyone else here who has the echos you want. Which echos do you want?
BFN.

Paul
