-=> Quoting Paul Edwards to Dieter + Brenton <=- PE> Hi guys. I am sending both of you PQWK218. There seems to Geeze, that's big of you Paul. PE> be a problem with messages greater than 32k, which may or PE> may not be causing your problem. I recompiled under I had it twice, it seems the second time had duped the prior packet. In both packets, the zcalc program was in it. The first time it occurred, I was able to circumvent the problem by using an earlier revision of PKQWK. Dunno what happened thew second time around though. PE> be really useful if someone who actually used this bloody PE> stuff would actually make sure the documentation was PE> correct, and also update TinyPoint. Hint, hint, Dieter, PE> Dieter. Did I promise something ?? I have a faint niggly feeling that I did. Can I renege ?? PE> Also Dieter, the packet you sent me as an example started PE> off with 32k of x'00'. IOW, there is no way that you could PE> have converted that PKT into the 7k QWK, it is totally PE> corrupt already. And that was before entry to PKT2QWK! I know. PE> Since neither of you actually bother to save your daily PE> mail packets (I can lend you the $1 that the hard disk space PE> costs, if you're really hard up), we have to just play it PE> by ear to find out if the problem has gone away. Since you PE> have been operating for so long without problems anyway, it PE> will take quite a while for things to settle down. I'll have to do a hack of Brenton's code so it doesn't delete the inbound mail immediately after unpacking it, but rather the packets are deleted at the next occurrence of invoking his Getmail.bat file. BTW, with PKT2QWK, if I use a parameter of say Joe Bloggs instead of my name, would I see my own generated mail within that newly generated QWK? Or is my replies automatically removed from my incoming mail on TML proper ? Dieter ...
