  COVERED HANGERS
  SIZE: Each fits 17" wide plastic hangers
      (I hope it may be possible to fit these to wire?)
  MATERIALS FOR BOTH: WW yarn-10oz lt. blue; two 17" wide
  plastic hangers; 2yds. pre-gathered 1" lace; 1 1/8 yds.
  pre-gathered 2" lace; 4 yds. rose 1/4" satin ribbon; 3 1/2
  yds. rose 1/8" satin ribbon; 12 white 25mm (5/8") satin
  ribbon roses; lt blue sewing thread; sewing and tapestry
  needles; I crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.
  GAUGE: 7 sc sts = 2"; 7 sc rows = 2"
  SKILL LEVEL **Average
  COVERED HANGER
  SIDE (make 2)
  Row 1: For FIRST HALF, starting at center, ch 19, sc in 2nd
  ch from hook, sc in each ch across, turn (18).
  Row 2: ch 1, sc in each st across with sc last 2 sts tog,
  turn (17).
  Row 3: ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.
  Rows 4-24: Repeat row 2 and 3 alternately, ending with row 2
  and 6 sts in lst row.
  Rows 25-27: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.
  Row 28: Ch 1, sc in each st across with sc last 2 sts tog,
  turn (5).
  Row 29: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. Row 30: Ch 1, sc
  first 2 sts tog, sc in next st, sc last 2 sts tog, turn,
  fasten off (3).
  Row 1: For SECOND HALF, with wrong side of row 1 on first
  half facing you, working on opposite side of starting ch,
  join with sc in first st, sc in each st across, turn (18).
  Rows 2-30: Repeat same rows of first half already done. At
  end of last row, DO NOT fasten off.
  Rnd 31: Working around outer edge, ch 1, 2 sc in each st and
  sc in end of each row around, join with sl st in first sc,
  fasten off.
  TO ASSEMBLE: Holding both Sides wrong sides together,
  matching sts, working through both thicknesses and in BACK
  LPS, join with sl st in lower right corner (if left handed,
  start at lower left corner), sl st in each st across to
  center top: for HANGER OPENING, sl st in next 2 sts of front
  only; working through both thicknesses, sl st in each st
  across to opposite corner, insert hanger; to CLOSE, ch 3 dc
  in each st across to last st, ch 3, sl st in last st, join
  with sl st in first sl st, fasten off.
  FINISHING
  1: Weave 24" piece 1/4" ribbon through dc across bottom,
  having ends even.
  2: With sewing needle and thread, sew 36" piece 1" lace to
  dc row under ribbon around front and back turning ends
  under.
  3: Working through lace, ch-3 and ribbon, sew one rose to
  each corner.
  4: Sew ends of 12" piece 2" lace together to form
  circle. Hand baste a line of stitches around top of lace
  circle and place over top of covered hanger.
  Pull threads together, sew lace to stitches around top to
  secure. Sew ends together at back.
  5: Fold 32" piece 1/8" ribbon into 3 1/2" bow forming 4
  loops on each side. Tack in center with sewing needle and
  thread to secure. Tie seperate 15" piece 1/8" ribbon around
  center of all loops leaving ends long. Sew bow to top of
  covered hanger and over lace.
  6: Sew 3 satin ribbon roses centered below of bow.
