 that I considered filing for minority status(my heritage id German)!

 To do this explanation justice, I will defer to one of the senior Ilks
 in the echo. Short version that several years ago, a drive-by made a
 nasty comment about Rush and his ilk, and thus was born the Order of
 the Ilks. To join, you merely declare yourself to be an ilk, and then
 practice the salute. The Ilks salute consists of an upraised fist, with
 the middle finger extended!
