Okay, then, show me. Where are the vast numbers of women who defend us when
it comes to the criminal element or foreign invaders or the threat of fire?
The answer is that there are no vast numbers of women in that role. These
are occupations largely filled by men. In our society at this point in
history, this is a man's role.

If women want to apply for jobs and they're qualified for them, I'm
comletely fine with that. I never said women should be kept out of these
jobs. I'm simply recognizing the reality.

Unless someone or something attacked him and that's what caused him to fall
off the slide, she didn't defend him? She helped him and maybe her help
saved his life. But providing such help is the same as defending someone.
If it were, we might as well say the local baker defends people because he
or she keeps people from dying of hunger by baking bread. Or maybe we could
say the plumber defends us by keeping our homes free of sewage.

Plumbers, bakers, doctors and, yes, carpenters have important roles to play
in our society. But I find it amazing that you can't understand that this
is a role other than defense. When a government established a department of
defense, it's not to hire a bunch of carpenters, doctors and bakers.
