Ok it looks like the problems I was having with MBSE have been resolved -
by a simple reboot of everything and everyday packing of my message bases as
storage space for the BBS seems to be at a premium here :)

So, as I am posting this message, I am building the latest CVS source that
is up on the MBSE website (ok fine, so I likve MBSE -- a LOT! ) so 
hoping my next post to the echo will be with that version.
