ÚÄÄøú. Dave Raymond whispered this to Rick Collins...
³ RC> If it's a "real" modem even Windows doesn't need a "driver". Real
³ RC> modems (that is, hardware modems, not "winmodems"), don't have
³ RC> "drivers". Period.
³ Well, while they may not require a driver to be a functional
³ piece of hardware, I wonder how Windows95 based communications
³ software would function, if no modem driver was installed
³ into Windows95.
ÀÄÄ.úø Out of the stillness, The Electric Head said this...
Simple....it wont.
I had an old 14.4 in my Win95 computer, but I lost the disk with the drivers
on it. So I installed it anyways, Win95 detected it, asked for the drivers, I
couldn't give it any (I even tried pointing Win95 to the hidden .INF
directory - no luck)...So I cancelled the install, and proceeded to run my
DOS based BBS off it for 3 months :)
