As a devout anarchist, I say *NO*!!!  ;-)
We don't need ANY laws. Laws are only forms of opression, intent on limiting 
the freedoms of the lower (than rich) classes. The rich can afford the legal 
battles to do what they please, to bribe lawmakers to make laws that benefit 
only them, and they are the only ones who can afford the campains to run for 
office to become these law makers.
The USA is often confused with being a democracy. WE ARE NOT! We are a 
REPUBLIC, a democratic republic. A republic is where one votes for many, as 
our congress does for the people. "and to the republic, for which it 
stands..."
Once you have a republic, corrpution of that government is assured as the few 
who make the laws are then bribed. The USA has even gone so far with this as 
to give official status to the agents of the bribers and calls them 
"lobbiests"!
A SINGLE major oil comapny can afford to bribe EVERY congressman with over a 
million dollar each and every year. When several similar companies get 
together and form a lobbiest group, congressmen would be insane to NOT take 
the bribes, as their great-great grandchildren will be made rich from it! 
Thus, corruption is not only inevitable, but most certainly assured!
Many people think women were behind the prohibition act long ago. Not so! The 
oil companies didn't want people to have the ability to make/grow their own 
fuel, and compete with them. It's to expensive for the average person to 
drill and explore for oil, but anyone can grow corn and set up a still. And 
THAT is the reason we have to "denature" alcohol. It makes it to much trouble 
to be worth the effort, with the government beuracracy we'd have to go 
through, with licensing, inspections, etc..., all the time.
Laws are only ways that the rich use control/opress the masses. Police are 
useless in everything but a police state. They have never recovered anything 
that was stolen from me. I reported a fight once, living only TWO blocks from 
the station, and it took 45 minutes before the FIRST car showed up!!! I 
handle my "police needs" myself anymore, and ignore "laws", which only serve 
the rich.
