PE>> It should do it for all netmail. It should have been like that
PE>> when you were QWKing off me originally, no???

BL> No. I used to get: "From: 1:123/346.4" if it came from
a BBS in the
BL> USA. Then I knew who to reply to.

That's what it should be doing now.

PE>> To get the zone number (3) appearing you need to add a
 PE>> "-A3:711/934.whatever" on pkt2qwk. I don't think I mentioned
 PE>> that,

BL> *Now*, you tell me! But what's the point of putting that in, when
BL> I won't know where the Netmail is coming from? Is magic involved?
BL> If I get Netmail from Elmer Zxwctz in the USA, how will I know that
BL> his BBS number is 1:123/456.7 in advance?

No, you only need to put in your address as shown above so that it
can figure out what the default zone is. All it takes out of the
above is the 3. And it only uses the 3 for "local" messages.
Don't think about it, just do it.

PE>> so how did you know to do that? If you leave out the "-A"
PE>> parameter it just makes it zone 0 instead.

 BL> I erred. . What I actually got was:
 BL> "From: 0:711/934.0".

What I would expect. Except I would have expected something
better for the point number. I'll have to doublecheck that.

PE>> Also, I checked, and you haven't received any netmail recently,
PE>> so how come you were seeing it at all?

BL> I save my uploaded 000000000.PKT packet and add in in with the
BL> downloaded packets. I sent netmail yesterday and got it back with
BL> From: 0:711/934.0 added on. In todays packet I got one with the right
BL> point number added on, but still with 0:711/934.n

. Aha, there is a deficiency in the
code (everyone's code no matter what version you're running), it
isn't sending the netmail with the right address (it isn't putting
in the point number), but in the past it seems that Squish must
have fixed that up! I'll get cracking on a new version that puts
in those extra fields required.

BL> This is pretty useless if I get Netmail from another board. Will it
 BL> still put 0:711/934.n?

No, it will put in the other boards address properly, don't worry
about it. In fact, the only problem you will experience by
sticking with PQWK215 instead of going to PQWK216 (when its out)
is on your own mail that you're getting back! As long as I am
running Squish your messages will be fine.

PE>> Also, there is noone on 3:711/934 that is capable of sending
PE>> you netmail anyway, since no user-users have access to netmail
 PE>> from the board "proper".

BL> I was worried about what would happen if I used PQWK on another
 BL> board.

Eh? Ask one of your pensioner friends to send you a message if
you like. Or if you still dial other BBS's, send a message to
yourself! BFN. Paul.

P.S. I think I'll generate PID instead of putting the info in the
tearline as well, so you won't see "PQWK215" in your messages
anymore (I presume you don't care).
