subject: Writing a formated file f

I'm writing an app and would like to include the ability to export reports
to MS Word. It's easy enough to export a text file, but I was hoping to be
able to export a more useful formatted file -- headers, headings, columns,
footers, etc.

After poking around some I think the answer might be to write (format) my
report to a Rich Textbox then save the RTB to a file. Is this a
"reasonable" approach or has someone else already cracked this nut? Is it
possible to write to a RTB and get headers, headings, columns, etc.?

Thanks in advance for any hints of help...

-Bill

P.S. I also want to do the same by exporting to Excel -- csv files are an
easy way out, but again I'd like to format things better. But I'll save
that question for another time...
