KR> dont hassle the guy, hes only doing what he is good at (-8 RS> Sure is a lot better at it that some dork who cant even make PPoint, RS> what he claims is an effortless no brainer to use, stop massively RS> duping |-) KR> the problem was nothing in the least to do with ppoint which is so KR> easy that even you could use it. (-8 RS> Funny, could have sworn that your line all along was 'why are you RS> buggers farting around with PQWK when you can just use PPoint with no RS> effort' Dont you even take your own advice then ? |-) KR> now, rodney old son, would you care to explain your huge leap of KR> logic here? No dad, no leap of logic to explain there. KR> just because i use ppoint, it doesn't mean that it has to be the problem, Never said it was Keith. I had moved on to a quite different point. When we were starting off with PQWK, you essentially said 'why fart around like that, PPoint is all anyone needs'. Turns out that you dont appear to take your own advice, if indeed the duping wasnt due to PPoint and you were doing something else other than doing a no brainer installation of PPoint and using it. No different to what we were doing in fact, deciding that PPoint alone isnt enough, we wanted more. Funny that. KR> if you drop ppoint, bink, and a fossil in a directory, and just let KR> ppoint get on with it there are no hassles at all, old bob could get KR> it right first time. (-8 I severely doubt that, Bob can comprehensively stuff everything he touches, even all the projects out of electronics mags that 10 year old kids can handle |-) Anyway, yes, I agree that PPoint is mostly a no brainer. But my new point was a quite different one. We were saying then that PPoint wasnt enough for us, thats why we didnt use it and used PQWK instead. You maintained PPoint was all we would need. You now appear to be attempting more than just the no brainer installation of PPoint for some reason. Maybe the same reason we chose to go with PQWK, coz the no brainer of PPoint wasnt enough. KR> as this will be the last post (tadahhh tadahhh) that i make for some KR> time, Oh mi gawd, 'I am just going for a short walk, I may not be back for some time', dont do it Keith, the blizzard will get you. KR> i will tell you the story. are you sitting comfortably? Yep, one of the few certaintys in life, I always do sit comfortably when computing. KR> due to my huge talents being in so much demand, i have been working 12 KR> hours a day leaving little time to read mail. i was therefor using my KR> lunchtime at work to read it on my home machine via pcanywhere. as KR> there is some difficulty in getting two comms programs to work on the KR> same machine at the same time without 2 modems, i was using my work KR> machine to do the actual down, and uploads, and transferring the KR> packets home via the aforesaid pcanywhere. work a treat too except KR> that i forgot to delete the outgoing packets from the home machine so KR> when i did a connect from there they got sent again. And if you hadnt been using that dog of a PPoint, you could have just moved the QWK between the machines, the sort of no brainer than even you could have done without stuffing it up |-) --- PQWK202* Origin: afswlw rjfilepwq (3:711/934.2) SEEN-BY: 711/934 @PATH: 711/934 |
