yup... and since 261/38 already passed it on to me cleanly, that removes
BBBS from being the culprit and the two systems before it... that takes us
back to mystic being the one doing the stripping of the trailing spaces...
at least on the MSGID line...
string processing vs numerical processing can be a real PITA in situations
like this... this is one case where either works and works well as long as
everything is the same for both processing methods... as soon as one side
changes, it all falls apart...
