Hi Klaus,
(Thursday April 09 1998 07:34) Klaus Meinhard to Ted Menks about: Variables
and TSR's
TM>> That may be nice for you, but not for those people that, like me, have

KM> Sorry I did overlook that item.
Such things happen, don't worry about it... :)
KM> Is updating the software not an option?
Nope, not really... Most newer software presume you have a PNP version, which
I don't have, and don't *want* to have either, not on the current PC, anyway
:)
Apart from that, these newer versions load drivers from config.sys, only to
*configure* the hardware. These drivers don't replace the TSR's that I'm
using, however. And since I don't have enough UMB-space left for them, it
means I've got to sacrifice more than only the space for two variables. I'm
not prepared to do that... :)
No, I'm happy with the version I have now. I can live with it ;-)
The price I'm paying now, in the form of two variables that need to be
defined before the accompanying TSR's can be loaded, is a fair one in
comparison with the alternative ;-)
Live long and prosper,
