 Don't kid yourself. The grass always seems greener on the 
 other side, especially when on holiday. You always only see the 
 good side of things.
 
 Being a somewhat recent immigrant to Oz, what you hear about in 
 other countries only barely touches the surface. It is only when 
 you actually start living in a country that you see all the 
 flotsam and jetsam lying around.
 
 It wasn't until I arrived here that I saw the monumental waste 
 of money that gets spend on public servants, and that includes 
 ministers and the associated staff.
 
 What a joke, and all those leeches for only 16 million 
 population.

 You think Oz stands alone in this ? The yanks have got to be one 
 of the most patriotic and one-eyed nation in the world. Bet you 
 a zillion buckeroos that the Commonwealth games even got 
 mentioned, unless it was the parting comments of Tunstill, or a 
 Canadian medal win.
 
 Most yanks wouldn't even know where Oz is, or even give a stuff 
 where it is.

 It is no better. But that is only my opinion. I did seriously 
 check into that quite a few years ago, and I spoke to alot of 
 people, albeit in LA and Boston, and it aint all cool and 
 groovy. 
 
 Funnily enough, most of them wanted to immigrate down here, had 
 a gutful of life in the USA. Like I said, greener pastures....
