I tried posting this last night, but it appears not to have "taken".

So... I'll try again.

Please don't excoriate me, as this may be a simple-(ton) question, but
I want to create an application that uses an icon as a button.  I
don't seem to be able to (easily) find sample code for this.  The
customer wants a "dashboard" (I personally hate the term) and so
clicking on a dollar sign for example would show a balance of some
sort.

Can someone point me to the right place for sample code/project(s) ???

Also, since I seem to have difficulties with Google, can you copy me
