DD> Sounds like the '83 Buick Skylark I bought last week for $ 400.

DD> MH> Any other Thunderbird owners out there?

DD> Missed out on a $500 '83 about two weeks ago.
The work is going well. I repaired the hood latch and the dash lights. I
pent
several hours in the junkyard getting window regulators and electric motors
for the doors. Now I find the regulators are fine, it is the motors that are
shot. I took the original apart to see if I can repair it. It got water
inside, and made some rust. The brushes got stuck, and one of the brush
springs just disintegrated. I cleaned everything, now if I can find a spring
and get it reassembled, it might even work. It appears the plastic gear
mechanism is stripped too, so I hope I can find that part. Will find out
tomorrow when I visit the Ford dealer again. It seems just like computers,
when you do the detailed work, it takes a good deal of time. More time and
patience than money, but that is something I guess a good deal of people do
not have. Me, I got plenty of time, and I have learned to be patient and hold
my temper when things do not go well.
So, I learn, and the car gets repaired. I have a good deal of satisfaction in
what I have acomplished. That is where the fun is for me. I wish you well in
your projects too. Are yours "keepers" or are they intended for someone else?
