Statistics I saw published a little while back showed that number of NZers
was nowhere near the top of the ethnic groups bludging on the dole.

You mean that I am a taxpayer?  I have had two occasions since I arrived in
this country in 1980 to receive payments from the Australian tax paying
public.  On both occasions I had found employment within 6 weeks.
