Sounds like a handy thing to have, what does RS charge for
these?

My all-hardware modems don't either. I tried to get fancy with
lots of switches to force fast connects but if the ISP's modem
won't negotiate you wind up with a 'no connect' rather than a
better one. I gave up. :-\

I usually expect 4 minutes per meg, you're 32 minutes shorter
than that. :-)
