This was one of those days I think are deceiving. If all you knew about
was market pricing, just listened to the newsbots, you'd think this was
a pretty good day. Prices jumped right after the market opened and
basically held that level all day. But I don't think it was such a good
day. Volume fell to +7% above average. Where were the aggressive
buyers? Now, granted, the recent volume has pulled the moving average
higher, from 1551Ms on StPaddy's Day to 1768Ms today. That's 14%,
caused by less than half the past 30 days of the moving average.

I know I've been writing about this for a while now, but I really think
this is a significant happening. What we can't be sure of is what it
all means, but we certainly should be alerted! I am. And I'm NOT sure
which way it's likely to jump. Short term, I see the Oscillator is
improving. Long term, I don't see lots to encurage investors.

Timing Signals: I don't use or recommend timing signals, but they're
fun to watch. If I did though, well, I might use something like this.
(Be warned!! It tends to whipsaw around signal points!)

Last Signal: SELL Date: 03/15/05 S&P: 1198
Winner or Loser: Loser By: -9
