You might try issuing a

picture1.picture = picture1.image

prior to saving using the library. Some twiddling of Autoredraw for the 
pixbox may be required. I suspect if you get the results you expect using 
SavePicture (to a bitmap to test), you'll get the same results with the jpeg 
library.
