 Sure, all the time. I tape several radio shows every week on by VHS,
 then later edit them down to cassette.
 For archiving audio to VTR, I still prefer my Betamax. I can feed a
 different signal to the Hi-Fi and linear tracks. So I record a movie
 with it's audio on the linear track, while the Hi-Fi tracks contain
 whatever music I want to record. I've yet to find a VHS deck that can
 do this.. if anyone knows of one, please let me know!
