CR>Recently, I've acquired a few things:
CR>I've already left a message about the Peter and the Wolf by
CR>Lancaster/Lumley and others.
Love this album and your description is very accurate. My favorite
tracks are the first one (with the superb Moog) and the wild violin
blues. I feel the same about the songs you didn't like.
CR>Bruford -- Gradually Going Tornado
CR> I don't like the singer, but the music is good. So far, "Gothic
CR> 17" stands out for me. I think I could get into this after I learn
CR> to get over the singer (I did the same thing with Allan
CR>Holdsworth's _IOU_).
It's true, the vocals are pretty flat. Reminds me of Level 42.
I tend to go for Gothic 17, Sliding Floor (despite the vocals) and
Joe Frazier. On a solo project, Berlin did a killer remake of that
 last one.
CR>Al Dimeola -- Land of the Midnight Sun
CR> This is a great album. It's a toss-up for me whether this or
CR> _Elegant Gypsy_ is my favorite. What should I get next?
Well, that's back in his early days. Sounds like he had something
to prove... and he did. Since I don't know your tastes or what you
have by him, I don't know where you should go next. Electric Rendez-
Vous came later but has some of the energy from his first ones. My
 favorite would be Tirami Su.
Cheers,
Paul C.
