I think that I might have forgotten the "cycle power" during the original 
flash, so I tried the procedure as listed in the readme file and the way you 
suggested - but there was no change in operation. I also flashed a second 
SFM288 following the procedure precisely, and so far it appears to be 
behaving the same as the first one. 
At first I thought that it was just the Couriers that were affected, but it 
appears now that all of my previously reported 28800 connects have now become 
26400 connects. On one connect that I watched yesterday, the display showed 
rx26/tx28 but on others it showed both ways 26. I've sent e-mail to betarep. 
I will continue to use the 1.44 unless the connects degrade further. 
I've also posted in the BINKLEY echo, in case there are configuration changes 
in Bink that I should have made.
