Or were they playing on artificial turf? you misplaced my em dash: it was 4 degrees F abouve zero (though, of course, that's only an eigth degree difference in this case anyway). There were a lot of comparisons to previous cold games: the "winner" was the Ice Bowl, at -13 degrees F. The field, as it happens, had been newly sodded (thereby losing us some of our home "we're used to the sloppy field" advantage), with warming coils/pipes under the sod.
