If you were not under the influnece of strong toxins
(anesthetics) I'd suggest you re-read that microbiology
text. Its always the obvious that trips us up.
Polio vaccine = protection against polio *bacteria* ???
I think NOT. Polio is a virus.
I'm sure that since typing the above, you've remembered that
vaccines can be for bacteria OR viruses.
As for getting over the the anesthetic, I reccomend lots of fresh
air, plenty of fluids to help flush out the residual toxins. Don't
drink any alcohol or take any downers - prescribed or herbal.
And if you come to San Francisco, you could smoke some legal
medical marijuana to ease you through the course of your recovery
