You're right - I don't remember any welcoming slap on my butt. In fact,
the only welcoming slap I remember on my butt - I was 24 years old by
then - and it was a while before that when I was born. But I do sometimes
get the two of them mixed up. So, what are we trying to decide here - that
Fidonet just came into being one day, so everybody decided that it might
be a good way to send messages back and forth? Sounds about right to me...
