The bear was a long range aircraft period. The orion is a LRMP & so
were versions of the bear. Re the cold war etc that is when the aircrft
& missions were developed & thus the rules of the game. Don't
forget that the korean airliner that was downed by the soviets was taken to
be an rc135 by the soviets.
