SC> What about the 20 to 30 per cent youth unemployment SC> experienced in some areas of Australia What about it ? Its just a complete mangling of the statistics you get when you dont put your brain into gear and notice that the vast bulk of 'youth' arent even seeking work, they are getting educated. Yes, there are some who chose not to, with a very large percentage of those being the complete no hopers, and it isnt very surprising indeed that the percentage of those who anyone wants to employ is lower than with adults with some real skills that you can use when you employ them. SC> Bit hard to save for when you might not have employment SC> if you have never had the chance to actually have a job Yes, but we DID choose to give them quite a few years of education at taxpayer expense, and if they chose not to avail themselves of that when it was available to improve their prospects of getting a job, thats still their fault aint it ? Buggered if I can see why society should allow kids to not even bother to avail themselves of the education we provide to make themselves employable. Then there is the tiny matter of why WE should support them and not their parents too. PARTICULARLY if they aint interested in improving their job prospects by getting of their arses and getting some skills that people look for in employees. SC> And if they ever take away the dole I hope your house is one of the SC> first to be broken into and robbed by the hordes of unemployed people SC> that won't have any means of supporting themselves or their families SC> other than what they can beg borrow or steal Soorree, the absolute vast bulk of the property crime is done by druggys funding their drug habits. SC> from the money hording few of this country, SC> eg Kerry Packer, and by the looks of things, You. Yes, I have considerable assets. I dont choose to put my hand out and choose to provide for myself instead. @EOT: ---* Origin: afswlw rjfilepwq (3:711/934.2) SEEN-BY: 711/809 934 @PATH: 711/934 |
