What is happening is rather easy to say: as nearly always, drive letters
have changed.

Because the drive letter of the CD where the install began has changed.
Remember, hard disks drive letters are assigned by the combo OS2LVM.DMD
+ OS2DASD.DMD
There are several ways to bypass the problem:
- or, disable in the bios any _other_ IDE channel AND adapter. For, is
there is only one adapter with one channel available, no shift is
possible anymore.
- or, when the install seems to stop, move the CD to the other station.
This one works here on one of my mixed scsi/ide systems (weird, isn't it?).
- or, even weirder, prior to the beginning of the install, just put
another CD in the other station. Any other BUT NOT BOOTABLE cd. This
trick too works on my mixed IDE/SCSI systems.
It's weird, but it works. :-)
